Connor Essam joins Blue Square Premier side on loan
Homegrown centre-half Connor Essam has joined Blue Square Premier side Luton Town on an initial one month loan deal.Ironically the 20 year-old has been drafted in by the Hatters as cover for former Gills team mate Garry Richards, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury.
Former youth team skipper Connor made his senior debut for Gillingham in last season's televised home fixture with Southend United.
He went on to make 18 first team appearances in 2011/12 but has struggled to break into the first team this season following the arrivals of Tom Flanagan and Adam Barrett.
