1907 - John Beby
Goalkeeper John joined the Gills from the Grenadier Guards in August 1929 but didn't make his debut for his home-town club until the Boxing Day trip to Bournemouth.
After 20 consecutive appearances he moved to Leicester City just a couple of games before the season ended.
He later managed Erith & Belvedere.
