Our Girls Centre of Excellence are looking for a Sports Therapist to join the team in February 2013.

Gillingham Football Club's Girls Centre of Excellence is a dynamic, professional, progressive, safe and enjoyable place for elite young players to receive an all-round football education.
We are currently looking for a Sports Therapist to join our team at the Girls Centre of Excellence in February 2013.

As our Sports Therapist you would be required to deliver sports therapy services to all players at our Centre. You would also need to promote and protect the health and wellbeing of the girls and work within the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics of the Society of Sports Therapists (SST) and work within the Standards of Proficiency set by the Society of Sports Therapists (SST).

GCOFE SPORTS THERAPIST JOB SPECS 2012-13

You would be required to attend training sessions on a Monday in Rochester and a Wednesday in Sittingbourne, 6:00pm to 9:00pm and fixtures on a Saturday morning home and away (approximately 30 fixtures during the season).
As one of only 31 Centres of Excellence in the country our staff is given the unique opportunity to work with elite players striving to represent England. Currently only players registered at an official FA Girls’ Centre of Excellence are eligible for selection for Elite Performance Camps or International squad selection.

We work closely with the FA to offer each player exposure to up to date training methods and the opportunity to develop their game through regular training sessions and a games structure against other licensed Centres of Excellence including Arsenal, Chelsea and Millwall while also under the watchful eye of England Scouts. Our team of experienced, fully-qualified coaches are on hand to assist players through their journey at every step and aim to challenge and inspire throughout.
