How the Gillingham manager plans to spend his Christmas
Talking in last Thursday’s press conference Gillingham manager Martin Allen gave an insight as to how will spend his Christmas Day…“I will probably wake up as I normally do at 6.30 and then sneak out of the house and play golf somewhere. I’m not a member anywhere but I doubt anybody will be on a golf course at 7.30 so I will play nine or ten holes which is lovely.
“I will take Monty out, come back, have breakfast, go for a walk with the family and have Christmas Dinner around 2 o’clock and fall asleep on the sofa like everyone else. I really hope `Only Fools and Horses` is back on but it never is now.
“I will flick through the channels and I suppose as you do that the adrenaline and your mind will start to drift towards the game and rightly so. I have a lovely family so once we are all together we have a great time and we’ll be playing board games the night before.”
