MEET THE NEW SCHOLARS...

A first intake of new scholars were announced on Saturday

On Saturday, during the half-time interval of the draw with Fleetwood Town, the first intake of next season’s first year scholars were introduced to the crowd at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.

The line-up above (L–R) is - Bryan Bull (Schoolboys Development Manager), Greg Cundle, Dominic Lelliott, Mitchell Dickenson, Callum Emptage, Danny Leonard and Darren Hare (Head of Youth).

Bryan Bull gives  us a brief profile about the five -

Greg Cundle – Bromley-based Greg is a versatile forward who is equally comfortable playing in midfield. He has been in rich goalscoring form for the under-16's this season having scored on his youth team debut when still an under-15.

Dominic Lelliott - Also based in Bromley, Dominic is an out and out forward who strikes the ball equally well with either foot and is an accomplished finisher. He scored with his first touch in a youth team shirt against Watford in September.

Mitchell Dickenson – A left-sided centre-back Mitchell, who lives in Maidstone, has been with the club since he was 13. Commanding in the air and composed in possession, he has also featured for the youth team over the past two seasons.

Callum Emptage - Medway-born Callum is an aggressive, athletic right-back, who has been with the club since he was eight. He is another to have made his youth team debut as an under-15.

Danny Leonard – He is another Medway boy, who has been at the club five years. Danny is an energetic midfield player who possesses a good range of passing. He has also netted his first goal for the Youth Alliance team at Crawley earlier this season.


Not pictured above but also being taken on is Connor Hendricks – He is another from the Medway area, a creative midfield player, with a deceptive change of pace. Connor has also featured in the youth team this season.
