1903- George Nicol
The centre forward was a top goal scorer in his time for the club, scoring 38 times in 66 appearances.
1935- Keith Wilson
Keith moved to the Priestfield from Southampton in July 1961 having failed to make his mark on the first team at the Dell despite being a regular in the reserves.
He scored on his debut for Gillingham against Doncaster Rovers at home, but would only make four more appearances for the club as new manager Harry Barratt made drastic changes after a poor start to their season.

DEATHS…
1959 - Thomas H Wilson
‘Tug’ played for the club for 13 years between 1936 and 1949, remaining as an amateur while working at Chatham Dockyard.
During his time at Gillingham he scored 151 goals.
The ‘Little General’ also played for Sheppey United and Gravesend & Northfleet.
He died on this day in 1959.
1971- Jimmy Poxton
Jimmy joined the club from West Bromwich Albion in 1928, and he went on to make 43 appearances for the Gills.
In May 1929 he was on the move to Millwall.
He died on this day in Walsall.
