BIRTHS...
1982 - Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu
The forward had played for French side Amiens SC, Sheffield Wednesday, Preston (loan), Colchester United, Darlington and Cardiff City before joining the Gills in the summer of 2006.
He made his debut as a late substitute on the opening day of the season against Huddersfield Town and he went on to score five times in 36 matches for Gillingham.
Guylain later played for Bradford City, Darlington and Ayia Napia.
1991 - Antonio German
The young striker joined the Gills on loan from Brentford in February 2013 and made his debut as a substitute against Oxford at Priestfield.
His first goal was the opener in a 2-1 home win over Plymouth at home.

DEATHS...
1982 - Jimmy Forsyth
Born in Armadale, Jimmy played for his hometown club and Bathgate before joining Portsmouth.
The half-back arrived at Priestfield from Pompey in June 1928 but had to wait until Crystal Palace at home in early October for his debut.
He was ever-present for the remainder of the season making 36 appearances before joining Millwall where he went on to play in 320+ times.
After a spell as assistant trainer at the Den he became first-team trainer at Ipswich Town and was caretaker-boss at Portman Road for a spell in 1964. He retired in 1971.
James died in Ipswich on this day in 1982.
