BIRTHS...
1967 - Mark Stimson
Stimmo had three spells with the Gills, the first of which was a player signed on loan from Spurs by Keith Burkinshaw in January 1989.
He may have only made 18 appearances but his performances were enough to see him voted runner-up in the Supporters Player-of-the -Year.
Next came a trial period at the time Peter Taylor was Gills boss but he decided against taking on the left-back.
Of course the third spell was as manager, taking over from caretaker bosses Iffy Onuora and Mick Docherty in November 2007.
His spell in charge of the club was rather a roller-coaster affair with two relegations and a promotion via the play-off at Wembley following an unforgettable 1-0 victoy over Shrewsbury at Wembley.
After having spells in charge at Barnet and Kettering Town, he is currently manager at Thurrock of the Ryman Premier.
