The former QPR youngster joined the Gills from Exeter City in in July 1965 and made his debut shortly afterwards at Reading.
He made just four league appearances but was a regular in the Reserves.
After leaving Priestfield he remained in Kent playing for Margate, Dartford, Maidstone United and Gravesend & Northfleet.

DEATHS...
1970 - Jock Robertson
An early Gills legend who made 388 appearances for the club having moved from Chatham Centrals in November 1919, although he had to wait nine months before making his debut against Southampton at home.
In July 1933 he left Gillingham for Canterbury Waverley in the summer of 1933.
He died in 1970 on this day in Rochester
