BIRTHS...
1902 - Dan Lewis
The Welsh international goalkeeper was signed from Arsenal in May 1931, where he'd made 142 league appearances.
He had played for the Gunners in the 1927 FA Cup Final and it was his error that saw Cardiff City lift the trophy.
Dan made his Gills debut on the opening day of the following season at Southend United but after playing six games he retired from the game.
1909 - Frank Torr
The outside-left made just one appearance for the Gills, away at Northampton in January 1933, after moving from Bradford Park Avenue. Frank moved to Aldershot in August 1933.
1910 - George Tweed
The full-back started the 1938-39 season by playing five games but then didn't appear again until a reserve side was sent to play Cheltenham Town the following March while the first-team played in a Kent Senior Cup game on the same day.
1958 - Dean White
The combative midfielder enjoyed two stints at Priestfield, and in this time made 135 apperances and scored 28 goals.
He originally joined the Gills as a centre-half from Chelsea in July 1978.
Dean often returns to the club in his capacity as a scout
