BIRTHS...
1932 - Ronnie Waldock
Ronnie started playing for Loscoe Youth Club before enjoying a league career with Coventry City, Sheffield United Scunthorpe United, Plymouth Argyle and Middlesbrough before joining the Gills for a club record fee of £6000 in October 1961.
He was a regular scorer at all clubs and went on to score 15 goals in 71 games for Gillingham before dropping into non-league football with Margate.
After 73 matches for the 'Gate he was later player-manager at Selby Town.
1973 - Steve Brown
The former Southend and Colchester United forward spent part of the 1994-95 campaign at Gillingham scoring twice in nine league games.
After departing Priestfield Steve enjoyed a good spell at Lincoln City before later returning to Kent when signing for Dover Athletic.

The outside-right made 10 appearances for the Gills in 1937-38 having joined from Tunbridge Wells.
He died on this day in 1966.
