1893 - Archibald Roe
He scored two goals in 17 appearances for the Gills - also played for South Shields, Birmingham City, Arsenal, Lincoln City and Rotherham United
1908 - Harold Jamieson
He scored one goal in 18 games for the club after moving from home-town club Crawcrook Albion in December 1930. He left for Kilwinning Rangers in August 1932.
1924 - Vic Niblett
The centre-half arrived at Gillingham from West Ham United and went on to play in 164 games for the Gills before retiring in October 1956.
He later became head groundsman at Priestfield Stadium and scouted for the club.

DEATHS...
1993 - John McGregor
The right-back joined the Gills from the Royal Navy in the summer of 1930 and made his debut early in the season against Northampton at home.
He went on to score twice in 70 games for the club.
John died on this day in 1993 up in York.
