ROYAL ENGINEERS REMINDER

The Gills are in action tonight

Martin Allen’s players will be in action at MEMS Priestfield Stadium for the first time this season when they take on a team of Royal Engineers at a special centenary match this evening.

It’s a double celebration, as the REs are marking the 200th anniversary of the Royal School of Military Engineering at Brompton Barracks, and it’s also 100 years since the birth of The Gills – the year New Brompton FC became Gillingham FC.

The game kicks off at 7pm, preceded by a performance by the Band of the Corps of Royal Engineers from 6.30, and again at half-time.

Entry tonight will cost just £5 for adults and £2 for under-16s, with all profits from the game being donated to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.

A 12–page colour programme has been printed for the game and will be available for £1
