BIRTHS…
1946 - Keith Lindsey
The tough-tackling full-back joined the Gills for £750 from Port Vale in December 1972.
Born in Scunthorpe he was an apprentice with his home town club and turned professional at the Old Show Ground in December 1964.
Spells followed at Doncaster, Cambridge United, where he won the Southern League Championship and Southend before joining Port Vale in December 1971.
He made his Gillingham debut in the 1-0 win at Chester City and went on to make 75 appearances, scoring four times before leaving for Dartford in November 1974 having struggled to make the team under new boss Len Ashurst.
1978 - Roland Edge
The left-back came through the ranks at Priestfield, joining as a trainee in August 1995 and eventually making his debut as a substitute at Chesterfield in September 1998.
He went on to make 102 league appearances before spells followed at Hibernian and Hull City.
A return to Kent followed and has held player-coach roles at both Folkestone Invicta and Maidstone United.
