GFC show their support for the One Game, One Community campaign
The club showed its support for Kick It Out’s annual ‘One Game, One Community’ weeks of action at last Saturday’s home match against Burton Albion.Everyone here at MEMS Priestfield Stadium joined in, including the management, players and fans, as we dedicated our Npower League 2 match to help back the campaign.
Martin Allen and his coaching staff wore ‘One Game, One Community’ badges, and the players from both teams warmed up in t-shirts with the campaigns logo.
Campaign stickers were also handed out around the ground with stewards, ball girls and the club’s Community scheme all showing support. Club Mascot Tommy T also went shopping for a specially designed t-shirt.
In the weeks building up to the game, we also ran a competition to design a t-shirt with a Kick It Out message. We had hundreds of entries and on Saturday the winners and runners-up were in attendance at the game, and had their photos taken before Kick Off with the ‘One Game, One Community’ banner, GFC Gems and ball girls.
The two lucky winners were also presented with a t-shirt with their designs. Larger versions of the shirts were also given to our seven match day substitutes who warmed up in them throughout the game.
