Gills Community team spread the message at Robert Napier School
As part of Kick It Out’s ‘One Game, One Community’ campaign, Robert Napier School held football tournaments for the Years 7, 8 and 9 students to focus on the weeks of action message. Each year group had a tournament for boys and for girls with the winners decided after round robin fixtures. The school’s academy players helped to run the event, and wore ‘One Game, One Community’ t-shirts in support.
Also in attendance for the Year 8 tournaments, were Adam Lawrence (Head of Community) and first team youngsters Tom Brunt and Josh Hare.
All three were on hand to lead a warm-up for the group and once the games started they were able to share some coaching advice with the teams.
Once the teams had finished, the Kick It Out message was emphasized once more with players suggesting how they had worked together as a team.
