BIRTHS...

1947 - Terry Parmenter

The experienced full-back came to Priestfield in August 1971 having previously played for Fulham and Leyton Orient.

Having made his debut against Cambridge United he went on to make 54 appearances before joining home-town team Romford in January 1973.


1959 - John Sitton

The former Chelsea and Millwall defender cost boss Keith Peacock £10,000 in September 1981 and he quickly made his debut at Preston.

After five goals in 125 appearances he joined Leyton Orient in July 1985. Having had a decent spell as a player, he was later both youth-team boss and joint manager with the O's.


1991 - Tom Flanagan

The young central defender arrived on a six-month loan deal from MK Dons in July 2012.

He made his debut at Bristol City in the Capital One Cup victory the following month but returned early to his parent club due to metatarsal injury after one goal in 15 games.
