BIRTHS...
1898 - Jimmy Keegan
Jimmy joined from home-town club Barrow in July 1924 and made his against Brentford at home.
After just four games he was on the move to Peterborough & Fletton after just three months.
1972 - Ty Gooden
The former Arsenal trainee joined Gillingham from Swindon Town in a £100,000 deal in January 2000 that also included Iffy Onuora returning to Priestfield.
The midfielder made his debut at Bristol Rovers and went on to score six goals in 69 games.
Although some of his time at Priestfield was interrupted by injury, he will be remembered for two special times. It was his cross that Andy Thomson headed home for the winner in the Wembley play-off win against Wigan, he also scored a cracking goal in the FA Cup defeat against Arenal at Highbury.
After retiring from the game he has scouted in France for Reading, Sunderland and currently Arsenal.
1984 - Albert Jarrett
The Sierra Leone winger played for a number of clubs before joining the Gills early in the 2008-09 campaign, initially on trial then monthly contracts and he made his debut as a substitute against Port Vale in September 2008.
Three days after sitting on the bench as an unused sub in the play-off final victory against Shrewsbury Town he was released and has since played for Barnet, Lincoln City and Aldershot (loan).

DEATHS...
1992 - John Loftus
The forward played just twice for the Gills in his one season at the club having joined from Brighton & HA in August 1935, making his debut the following month against Notts County at home.
In the summer of 1936 he joined Barrow.
John died in Chilton on 23 October 1992
