OPEN EVENING SUCCESS

Girls Centre of Excellence welcome visiting coaches to their open session

At a recent coaching session at the Gillingham Girls Centre of Excellence, coaches from outside of the centre were offered the opportunity to attend an Open Evening to see for themselves how the centre is run, and hopefully take away some useful ideas.

A good turnout of around 15 coaches were introduced to the Centre by Technical Director Mike Sandmann

He explained a bit about the history of the centre, how it is run now and outlined the philosophy of the coaches and the players.

Visiting coaches had the chance to watch a session, led by coaches Natalie Curtis and Harrison Grant, and could ask questions along the way.

The evening was a huge success, with some excellent feedback from those in attendance.

We will be holding more Open Evenings later in the season, and I would encourage any budding coaches to come along, regardless of your current level of experience in the game.
