BIRTHS...
1901 - Archie Reay
The left-back joined the Gills from Brentford in July 1922 and made his debut at QPR two months later. He made 17 appearances in total before moving to Norwich City the following summer.
1902 - Jabez Foster
The outside-left arrived at Priestfield from Bristol Rovers in August 1926 and made his debut on the opening day of the campaign against Bristol City. In his one season at the club he scored four goals in 22 games before joining Wellington.

DEATHS...
1972 - Bill Berry
The East Londoner joined the Gills from Charlton Athletic in May 1923 but had to wait until February 1924 before making his debut at Bournemouth. Berry, an outside-left, remained in the team for the rest of the season and scored his first goal for the club in a 6-0 thrashing of Brentford.
In total he scored 12 times in 87 appearances before leaving for Brentford at the end of the 1925-26 campaign and was later a successful coach abroad in France, Tunisia and Luxembourg.
Bill died in Leyton on 15 September 1972.
