1893 - Harold Crockford
George died aged 54 in Reading on 25th September 1981
After leaving Priestfield he had spells at Reading, Headington and Ashford Town.
He scored 31 goals in 118 appearances while the Gills were in the Southern League and after their re-election to the Football League he added another five goals in 104 games.
The forward arrived from West Bromwich Albion in August 1947 and scored on his debut at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.

He went on to make 151 appearances for the Gills before his release in July 2012 following which he returned to Barnet where he had previously played on loan in 2006.
Having come through the ranks at Charlton Athletic, the Ashford born right-back joined the Gills from Stevenage in January 2008
1984 - Barry Fuller
A number of comebacks were attempted but he was eventually forced to retire in February 1984, he had scored nine times in 31 matches.
The midfielder had made 23 consecutive appearances before suffering a serious knee injury against Barking in an FA Cup tie.
Richie, previously with Charlton, cost £25,000 when Keith Peacock signed him from Reading in August 1981.
1954 - Richie Bowman
After leaving the Gills he remained in Kent playing for Ramsgate Athletic, Margate and Dover.
He made the first of 11 appearances on the opening day of the season against Watford.
The young Scottish forward had played for Partick Thistle and Motherwell before Archie Clark brought him to Gillingham in July 1956.
1933 - Stewart Pollock
In his short time at Priestfield, around two months, he scored one goal in seven appearances before joining Accrington Stanley.
The centre-forward was signed from Chesterfield in March 1925 and made his debut at Charlton Athletic.
