Date confirmed for next season's fixture release
It has been confirmed that the fixture list for the 2013-14 season, which will of course see the Gills returning to League One, will be released on Wednesday 19th June 2013 at 9.00am.Although much depends on how the ups and downs go in League One at the end of this season there will be relatively local games against Colchester United, Crawley Town, Leyton Orient and Stevenage while old rivals Swindon Town could once again be in opposition.
Bristol City look likely to drop out of the Championship but who goes through the trapdoor with them who can tell as a dozen or more clubs, including the likes of Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Derby County, Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers, are not mathematically safe.
It is also possible that Gills boss Martin Allen could be involved in returns to three of his former clubs, Brentford, MK Dons and Notts County.
