BROMPTON THROUGH TO FINAL

Brompton Westbrook Primary School complete the half time shoot out final line-up

Our second shoot-out Semi-Final of the season saw Brompton Westbrook Primary School take on St Benedict’s Catholic Primary School during last weekend’s League Two match against Torquay United.

The players had seven seconds to score from the edge of the D and could chose to dribble and shoot or simply fire one at goal. The keepers were allowed to move off their line as soon as the whistle sounded and put the striker under pressure meaning that both players had to think and act fast.

The two teams stepped on to the pitch under beautiful blue skies and tensions were high with both teams knowing that a place in the final was at stake.

The crowds were treated to a very close match, with both teams doing everything they could to secure the last spot but it was Brompton who just managed to edge out St Benedicts.

They will now play before a packed out MEMS Priestfield Stadium at the last home game of the season against AFC Wimbledon on 20 April.

As always we would like to thank both schools for taking part in the competition and we wish Brompton Westbrook Primary School the very best of luck in the Final.
