Gills Community Trust rewarded after another successful soccer schools programme
Gillingham Football Club's Soccer Schools have continued to be popular during the school holidays, with hundreds of children visiting our coaches at a number of venues across Medway and Kent. The success of our Soccer Schools has led to the GFC Community Trust being awarded the KCFA Soccer School Accreditation, which is an FA-approved benchmark that ensures the highest possible standards are in place.
As part of this, the FA Tesco Skills Team have been on hand to support the GFC team at some of the venues this week.
Team Leader for the Kent Skills programme, Pete Sayer commented: “We are pleased to have worked alongside the Gillingham FC Community Trust to support them with the delivery of their Soccer Schools.
"It is opportunity for us not only to support, but also to continue the development of their coaches whilst ensuring the quality standards of the soccer school are upheld."
The GFC Community Trust are hopeful that this positive relationship will continue, Adam Lawrence adding:
“It is great for us to have the FA Skills Team support the soccer schools and work closely with our coaches. They have helped coaches of different experiences progress a great deal.”
