BIRTHS...
1972 - Steve Thompson
The centre-half joined the Gills as a trainee in July 1988 and it was during his YTS days that manager Damien Richardson was forced to blood him in the first-team because of injuries.
He made his debut against Aldershot on the opening day of the 1989-90 season.
However the Manchester born youngster failed to win a professional contract and he moved to Tonbridge in August 1990 having made four appearances.
1986 - Anton Robinson
The midfielder came in on loan from Huddersfield Town in February and made his debut as a substitute in the televised home game against Wycombe Wanderers.
