BIRTHS...

1982 - Adam Miller

The former Ipswich Town youngster played for a number of non-league sides, including Gravesend & Northfleet, before QPR boss Ian Holloway took him to Loftus Road in late 2004.

After spells at Peterborough United (loan) and Stevenage Borough he followed former boss Mark Stimson from Broadhall Way to Gillingham in November 2007 initially on loan and his debut came against Hartlepool United soon afterwards.

He went on to make 97 appearances for the Gills, scoring 13 times before leaving at the end of the 2009-10 campaign.

Adam joined Cambridge United on a three-year deal that summer but after just a handful of games he sustained a serious ankle injury in September 2010 which finally enforced his retirement from the game two years later.

1986 - Dean McDonald

The former Arsenal youngster, who had also played for Ipswich Town and Hartlepool United (loan), joined the Gills in May 2006.

Dean scored the winner on his debut in a 2-1 home win against Huddersfield Town on the opening day of the following season.

After the first year of his two-year deal had elapsed the diminutive forward was allowed to join Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

He returned to England at the start of the 2008-09 campaign and has since played for a number of non-league sides and is currently at Macclesfield Town.
