1967 - David Puttnam
The left-winger had played for Kirkby Muxloe, Leicester United, Leicester City and Lincoln City before Tony Pulis paid £30,000 to bring him to Priestfield in October 1995 making his debut at home to Rochdale.
Although he went on to make 53 appearances more than half were as a substitute.
After a loan spell at Yeovil Town he moved to Swansea City in August 1997 before playing for a number of non-league sides.
1980 - Kevin James
The former Charlton Athletic winger came to Priestfield having impressed when playing in a pre-season friendly against the Gills for Canvey Island.
He made his debut when replacing Carl Asaba as a 73rd minute substitute in a Worthington Cup victory over Torquay United at home in August 2000.
After 53 appearances, and four goals, he joined Nottingham Forest in May 2004.
A number of loan spells away from the City Ground followed and he eventually signed for Woking in July 2007 and has since played for Crawley Town, Chelmsford City and is currently at Dulwich Hamlet.
