“This is a just reward for the continued hard work, commitment and dedication that she has shown to her training. It is also fantastic news for our Centre of Excellence, which has made excellent progress in recent seasons.
“I’m sure with the quality of coaching at the centre we will see many more girls given this experience in the future.”
Katie’s U15’s manager Pete Sayer is looking forward to seeing Katie return to training this season and commented “It’s great news that Katie’s been called up
again, she really enjoyed the last camp and is looking forward to another opportunity within the England set-up.
“The only negative is that she will be unable to attend our first pre-season session, she will be missed on the night but I know the rest of the squad are really excited for her and we wish Katie all the success she deserves.”
Everyone at Gillingham FC would like to echo Pete’s comments and wish Katie the very best of luck at the camp.
