GILLS SUPPORT DEMELZA FUNDRAISER

Community trust help to raise money for Demelza House

On Sunday afternoon the Gills Community Trust went along to a local `Toys R Us` store to help them raise money for Demelza House.

The store showed support for the hospice in Sittingbourne by holding a family day, with plenty of fun events taking place.

Adam Lawrence and Lewis Whiteoak from the trust went along with a special surprise for the visitors of the store on Fathers' day.

Those who visited the store were given the opportunity to have a photo taken with the npower League Two trophy, which has continued its journey around the county since the Gills were crowd league champions in April.

Those who had their photo taken generously made donations to Demelza House.

Some of the stores younger customers also had a chance to take penalties against a special guest, for the chance to win some Gills Soccer School vouchers.

The `Toys R Us` mascot Geoffrey took his mark between the posts to try and save some of the penalties.
