We continue our round-up of news at other clubs in the division....

Notts County – Midfielder Alan Judge has re-joined Blackburn Rovers on a three year contract after turning down a new deal at Meadow Lane.


Judge signed for the Magpies in 2010 following a loan spell, but returns to the Championship side who have just announced Gary Bowyer as their new Manager.

Oldham Athletic – Teenager David Mellor has signed a new one year contract after breaking in to the first team this season.


Former Manager Paul Dickov used Mellor as a left back, but he has found himself in a midfield role since Lee Johnson took over earlier this year. 



Peterborough United – Darren Ferguson will have to make do without midfielder George Boyd in League One next season after Hull City, recently promoted to the Premiership, signed him on a permanent deal following his loan spell at the KC Stadium.


Grant McCann is yet to sign a new contract at London Road, but talks are on-going and negotiations are said to be productive.

Port Vale – Daniel Jones, Chris Birchall, Sam Johnson, Tom Morris, Adam Yates, Louis Dodds and Ben Williamson have all agreed to sign new contracts at Vale Park.


Some of the players haven’t yet put pen to paper, however they are expected to once they return from holiday.


However winger Ashley Vincent has rejected his new contract offer while John McCombe has left the club.


The defender has been heavily linked with a move to newly promoted Mansfield Town.


It has also been confirmed that Vale will play Derby County and Leicester City in pre-season friendlies at home on July 16 and 23 respectively, with two more to be confirmed during their tour of Ireland.



Preston North End – Winger Will Hayhurst is expected to sign a new two-year deal in the next couple of days.


The 19-year old made 25 appearances last season having come through the youth system and is currently away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland U21 squad.



Rotherham United – The Millers have signed former Carlisle keeper Adam Collin on a two-year contract.


The stopper made 133 appearances in his four seasons at Brunton Park and now joins up with Steve Evans as he prepares his side for their first season back in League One.



Sheffield United – The Blades are yet to appoint a new manager after failing to gain promotion via the play-offs.


Chris Morgan took charge in a caretaker capacity, and with Stuart McCall and Karl Robinson seemingly opting to remain where they are, the search continues.


Port Vale Coach Robert Page has emerged as a front runner, but few player and pre-season plans have been made with no Manager in place.



Stevenage – Jordan Burrow has signed a two-year contract at Broadhall Way just hours after telling Morecambe Manager Jim Bentley that he would not be taking up their offer.


Burrow scored once in 25 games last season but now steps up a division with Graham Westley back at the helm for a third time.
 


The club have also announced their first pre-season games with a QPR XI visiting the Lamex on July 16 before Leeds United visit Hertfordshire a week later.

Swindon Town – The Reds have announced that they will travel to Swindon Supermarine and Forest Green Rovers on July 2 and 12 respectively before entertaining Birmingham on the 17th as part of their pre-season schedule.


On the player front Nathan and Louis Thompson has agreed two-year contracts to remain at the County Ground until the summer of 2015.



Tranmere Rovers – Midfielder Danny Harrison has signed for Chester after being released by Tranmere.


He has made over 300 Football League appearances during two spells at Prenton Park and four years at Rotherham.



Walsall – The club have confirmed they will host Leeds United and Nottingham Forest in pre-season games at Banks’s Stadium on July 20 and 23 respectively.



Wolves – Kenny Jackett has become the club’s new Manager after resigning as Millwall boss following the conclusion of the 2012/13 season.


The length of his contract hasn’t yet been disclosed by the club, but he replaces Dean Saunders who was sacked after failing to steer the club clear of their second successive relegation.
