February half term saw the launch of the GFC Gems dance workshops, with young ‘gems recruits’ aged from 2 to 16 years-old being put through their paces by our resident cheerleaders.The Gems held workshops across three locations in Kent, teaching cheerleading routines and dance techniques to over 100 children across the half term week.
Gems captain Beckie Davis said ‘We are so pleased with the success of our first workshops, this is something we have wanted to do for a while and to be able to finally start them is fantastic.
“We have had a great response from many of the parents and children, which is the main reason why we wanted to start up the workshops.
“Our aim is to provide a class where children across Kent can learn something new, keep active and meet new friends, so to get such great feedback is really encouraging.”
If you missed out on our half term classes, don’t despair because the Gems will be holding new workshops during the Easter holidays with classes starting on Tuesday 2 April.
Due to the incredible response to our inaugural workshops, the girls have added extra dates and included two days for each age group.
