NPOWER COMMUNITY CUP PRESENTATIONS

Our finalists enjoy a day out with the Gills at MEMS Priestfield Stadium

At half time in Saturday’s home game against Plymouth Argyle we invited the winners and runners-up from our npower Football League Girls Cup and Kids Cup Tournament to a trophy presentation.

In attendance were Girls Cup Winners Rainham School for Girls, Kids Cup Winners Minterne Community Junior School and both tournaments runners-up Westlands School and St Thomas of Canterbury RC Primary School.

Gills star Andy Frampton was on hand to present the captains with their trophies and all the players received certificates commemorating their achievements.

This week also sees Minterne taking part in the Regional Finals of the Kids Cup. On Thursday the teams will travel to AFC Wimbledon where they will face winning schools from other Southern Region League Two clubs, with the winner on the day progressing to the National Final at Wembley.

The team from Rainham Girls has already made it to their Wembley final after winning the Area and Regional Finals, so we hope that Minterne can make it a double this season.
