BIRTHS...
1900 - Bill Arnold
The Bromley-born forward signed for Gillingham in September 1922 and made a goalscoring debut in a 2-2 home draw with Swansea Town.
He remained in the side for the following game at Brighton & HA but never appeared again.
1930 - Arthur Adey
The former Bishop Auckland and Doncaster Rovers centre-forward joined the Gills in the summer of 1954.
He made his Gillingham debut on the opening day of the season against Bristol City and went in to score one goal, at Walsall, in seven games.
After two months at the club the Scot moved to Bradford Park Avenue having been suspended by the Gills for a breach of discipline.

DEATHS...
1994 - Sammy Moore
The forward played for hometown club Birmingham City and Aldershot as an amateur and then both Wolves and Walsall before arriving at Priestfield in June 1958.
After making his debut at Shrewsbury Town in September 1958 he went on to score nine goals in 33 appearances for Gillingham.
He left the club for Dover in the summer of 1960 and later played for Canterbury City and Chatham Town.
Sammy died in Dover on this day in 1994.
