BIRTHS...

1930 - George Wright

The right-back, born in Ramsgate, played for the Rams, Margate, West Ham United and Leyton Orient prior to joining the Gills in July 1962.

While at Upton Park he made his debut at Hull City in September 1951 and in more than seven years with the Hammers he made 172 appearances.

His first Gillingham game was against Chester at Priestfield in August 1962 which proved to be the first of just four games.

In the summer of 1963 he returned to his hometown club.

1969 - Andy Ansah

The Lewisham born forward played for seven Football League clubs during his career which included two substitute appearances for the Gills while on loan from Peterborough United in March 1996, his debut coming at Rochdale.

After a spell in Hong Kong and playing non-league soccer he set up his own consultancy company which covers sport related films, commercials and TV programmes.

He has worked alongside a number of top footballing stars including Wayne Rooney on Sky's Street Striker and regular viewers of Soccer AM will no doubt recognise his catchphrase of "Unbelievable Tekkers".

1971 - Adrian Foster

The forward had played for WBA and Torquay United before Gills boss Mike Flanagan paid £60,000 for his services in August 1994.

He made his debut against Hartlepool United on the opening day of the season and he went on to make 49 appearances for the club, scoring 11 times.

His chances under Tony Pulis were restricted to substitute appearances and, following a three-month loan at Exeter City, he moved to Hereford United in August 1996.

Since then he has had spells at a number of clubs, mostly in the West Country, and Adrian, 41 today, is currently player-manager at Gillingham Town.

1993 - Jack Evans

The young defender made his Gillingham debut away at Torquay United back in October and made his full debut when the Gills travelled to Port Vale in February 2012.

Jack, who celebrates his 20th birthday today, is currently on loan at Dartford and recently scored his first goal for the Darts in their 2-1 victory over Wrexham.
