Warrington Wolves earn fine win as Priestfield countdown begins
Warrington Wolves cemented their third position in the Super League table ahead of their visit to MEMS Priestfield Stadium next week after a convincing 48-22 win over St. Helens at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The home of Manchester City played host to the `magic weekend` where all teams in the competition play one fixture at the same venue over two days, and Warrington produced one of the finest displays of the event to see off the 2011 Grand Finalists.
Eight tries were scored in total with two apiece for Chris Riley and Trent Waterhouse, and they bossed proceedings throughout to take the points.
They are just three points shy of Huddersfield Giants who are three further back of league leaders Wigan, and the Wolves will hope to reduce the gap when they take on Salford City this coming Saturday at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
This is Warrington’s final fixture before they travel to Kent to take on the London Broncos on June 8, and you can book your tickets for the clash now by using the link below.
