IZZIE'S WEEKEND BETS

One of our Gems previews the weekend's cup action!

Well it's week five of our new `GFC Gems Betting Previews` and this week its my turn to see if I can help you win a few quid courtesy of our official league sponsors Sky Bet.

Last week it was Shannon who decided to take on the challenge, but unfortunately she only got one prediction correct out of six, putting her to the bottom of the table alongside Tequilla.

However she did say that Danny Kedwell would score the first goal of the game, so I had to give her some credit on that one with a price of 9/2!

The FA Cup takes centre stage today and, historically, there is always at least one major upset at the first hurdle.

Hopefully we are not of them as non-league Brackley Town visit Priestfield later today, but Sky Bet are offering 13/2 for an away win.

Gills are 2/5 to advance, and for a 3-0 win you can get a price of 17/2.

FA Cup Accumulator:

Braintree v Newport County

I'm unsure this would go down as a `major upset` but, should Braintree get through, it would see a non-league club knock out a League Two side.

Newport are 10th in Sky Bet League Two and Braintee are sixth in the Skrill Premier. Home advantage counts for a lot in this competition and I fancy Alan Devonshire's side to be in the pot for round two.

BRAINTREE WIN - 2/1

Hednesford Town v Crawley

In contrast to the above game this certainly would be an upset if the home side could get any kind of a result.

Crawley haven't won in their last four games and Hednesford are currently leading the Skrill North by four points ahead of today's visitors Brackley Town.

Considering the form and the magic of this competition, I'm going for a home win!

HEDNESFORD WIN - 7/2

Macclesfield Town v Swindon

I don't see the home side winning this game but I see no reason why Macclesfield can't do enough to force a replay and at least be in the pot for the second round draw.

The hosts are 14th in the Skrill Premier, while Swindon occupy a top seven position in Sky Bet League One.

Moss Rose isn't the easiest place to go to, and I think both may have to go again at the County Ground after a replay today.

DRAW - 14/5

Wycombe v Crewe

Crewe have had a yo-yo season so far and their results seem difficult to predict considering they can lose at home one week and then cause an upset the next with a convincing away win.

Wycombe however have started reasonably well this year and are just three points shy of a play-off position and will be motivated by a mini upset.

WYCOMBE WIN - 7/5

Rotherham v Bradford

A Yorkshire derby will be played out at New York Stadium, and I have a feeling that a second will have to be played out in due course as, looking at the statistics, I'm unable to pick a winner.

Both have match winners in their squads and both play an entertaining style of Football which will give the crowd something to shout about.

It could well go either way but I fancy a draw in this one.

DRAW - 23/10

Peterborough v Exeter

There are certain games in the cup that you just feel the form guide should pull through, and I consider this to be one of them.

Darren Ferguson's side are third in Sky Bet League One and are on course to at least challenge for automatic promotion at the first time of asking.

Winning is a habit in this game and I'm sure the home team will show their class and book their place in the second round.

If you agree with Izzie then place your bet at www.skybet.com/gillingham and have your say on what will happen in the cup!

Her six fold accumulator returns odds of 608/1! Surely worth £1 of anybody's money?

Good Luck! Remember the more you bet, the more you can win!
