CHARLIE ALLEN MAKES LOAN MOVE

Gills midfielder Charlie Allen has moved on loan in search of first team football

Gillingham midfielder Charlie Allen has today joined Skrill Premier side Tamworth on loan.

The hard-working youngster has struggled to break into the Gills squad this season, making just two starts and a further four substitute appearances for the club.

He joins a Tamworth side currently sitting 20th in the Conference Premier with 16 points from their opening 16 matches of the season.

Charlie’s team mates at the Lamb Ground will include ex-Gills players Darren Byfield and Jack Evans, while another former Priestfield player Scott Lindsey is the Lambs’ Assistant Manager.

Allen joins Tamworth on a two month deal which will keep him at the club until January 4.
