GFC SENTAURS RESULTS

GFC Sentaurs compete in their first competition of the season

Last weekend saw our Gillingham FC SENtaurs take part in their first tournament of the season.

The under 11’s opened the day with some super football and, in the process, welcomed a new player in to the squad.

Putting away 18 goals and conceding just three has set high expectation for the rest of the season and some impressive teamwork left coach Kimi Bolden thrilled with the performance and is looking forward to seeing the team develop over the coming competitions.

Kimi commended the work of the players by stating, “I am thrilled to have joined such a hard working and keen group of players who are improving every time I see them.

"They have faced many changes recently including moving to our new training facilities at Medway Park and welcoming Dan and I to their team.

"We are still looking to expand our squads to ensure we can get as many children involved with this fantastic league, and encourage new players to come and try it for themselves.”

The new-look under 15’s had a big shake up to face after losing many now over-age players from last season, welcoming a large number of new faces, including several U13’s who made the step up.

After a shaky start with everyone trying to settle into their new shape, the team put in several steady performances and held the opposition to a 5-4 thriller in the final game.

The centre caters for children with various learning difficulties, including ADHD, Aspergers and behaviour difficulties as well as players who have minor physical disabilities and train on Tuesday, 6-7pm at Medway Park in Gillingham.

We are currently looking to add new players to the squads so if you’re aged between nine and 14 (girls and boys) and think you have what it takes to be a member of the team than why not try out?
