GILLS BACK CHARLIES 2K CHALLENGE

Show your support for local lad Charlie Ticehurst as he prepares for his 2000 mile cycle challenge.

Everyone at Gillingham Football Club is delighted to show their support for local lad Charlie Ticehurst who will be setting out on an epic 2,000 mile cycle challenge next week to raise funds for Cancer Research.

Charlie met with Martin Allen and the team at MEMS Priestfield Stadium this morning and explained to us why the his epic challenge means so much to him, Charlie said, “My Nan died of cancer in 2000 and unfortunately everyone is affected by cancer at some stage in their lives."

"This will be a tough ride but I hope that by raising funds for Cancer Research, more support can be provided for people with cancer, their families and carers and that ultimately a cure will be found for this killer disease.”

Charlie’s ride will start from London’s Tower Bridge on Thursday 19 September, then travel through Wales, the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland, before arriving back in London 10 days later.

He will average a staggering 200 miles per day throughout the challenge and you can show your support by donating to Charlie’s justgiving page, click here to make a donation.
