Get fit and help fight cancer at the Run Together in Medway event
The Mid Kent Swans, a Gillingham based voluntary group, is gearing up for its hugely popular Run Together in Medway annual fundraiser for Cancer Research UK.The 5km and 10km Run Togethers will take place in the beautiful surroundings of Riverside Country Park, Gillingham on Sunday 29th September 2013. The event is open to men, women and children with places also available for dogs this year.
Denise Cousin, Mid Kent Swans committee member, commented: “Each year we've achieved an even better turn-out than the last. It’s a fun and relaxed way for everyone in the family, including your pet pooch, to support the vital work of Cancer Research UK in a wonderful place and every single penny we raise goes directly to the charity.”
Run Together in Medway is supported by a number of local and national businesses including Gillingham Football Club, Ward Security, Revolution & Connect Events, and The Swan public house, Maidstone.
Deborah Puxty-Ward, also a committee member, added: “We are hugely grateful to the support we receive from the local business and sporting community. Everyone’s enthusiasm demonstrates how important it is to people that Cancer Research is supported in its fight against a very dreadful disease.”
