JAKE AND JOSH PUT MILES ON THE CLOCK FOR BIKE TO BRAZIL CHALLENGE

Jake Hessenthaler and Josh Hare contribute to Bike to Brazil Challenge

Youngsters Jake Hessenthaler and Josh Hare have put some miles on the clock for the Kent FA Bike to Brazil challenge.

As the players prepare for Ride with the Gills, Jake Hessenthaler and Josh Hare spent part of a recent training session clocking up some miles in aid of the Bobby Moore Foundation, both adding 15 miles each to the total.

Stephanie Moore MBE established the Bobby Moore Fund, in partnership with Cancer Research UK, in 1993. The Fund was set up in memory of Stephanie's late husband, legendary footballer Bobby Moore, who sadly died from bowel cancer aged just 51.

The fund uses donations for research into bowel cancer and also works to increase public awareness of the disease.

Jake said: "It’s a great challenge for a fantastic cause, Bobby Moore is a Legend in the World of Football and I think it’s fair to say everyone has unfortunately been affected by cancer in some way, so I’m really happy that I can help to raise awareness for such a worth-while cause."

Thank you to the staff at the Kent FA for inviting us along and we wish them every success in their challenge.
