GFC GOLF DAY 2014

Gillingham FC Golf Day 2014 Review

Gillingham Football Club held its annual Golf Day last Wednesday with several first team squad members and management personnel in attendance.

15 teams took to Upchurch to enjoy a full English breakfast, a round of Golf before returning to the clubhouse for a three course meal prior to presentations and refreshments.

Assistant Manager Andy Hessenthaler conducted a random draw at 10am to see which player would join each team, before play began an hour later.

Andy then handed out prizes in a short presentation following dinner, with a list of winners below:

First Prize: Vokes Taxis – Josh Hare
Second Prize: Wiltech Engineering – Bradley Dack
Third Prize: Oxden Floors – Doug Loft
Nearest to Pin: Dickie Armstrong – FP Fire
Longest Drive: Jake Hessenthaler
Booby Prize: Press Tech – John Egan

Proceedings came to a close just before 6pm with all players and participants going home happy.

Luke Norris said: “I enjoy Golf and it’s really good to play with the guys, they are good fun to be with and everyone enjoys it."

Bradley Dack added: “I play a bit myself and we’re all in good spirits – it’s nice to play with the fans and members of the public and we can show them just how down to earth we are.”
