Railway improvement works likely to disrupt some journeys to and from MK Dons on Saturday August 9
Gillingham FC would like to inform supporters that are planning to travel to stadium:mk on Saturday August 9 of some railway closures which are likely to affect your journey.We have been told by London Midland that there will be no services running from Hemel Hempstead (just north of Watford) to London Euston due to improvement works.
London Midland will be operating coaches/buses between Hemel Hempstead and Stanmore Underground Station.
Therefore if any Gillingham or MK Dons fans were travelling to MK Dons Stadium from London, they would need to catch a coach/bus from Stanmore to Hemel Hempstead and a train from Hemel Hempstead to Milton Keynes.
This journey will take considerably longer than it otherwise would if the line was open, therefore London Midland are advising passengers to use other operators where possible.
An alternative train route is St Pancras up to Bedford and then across to Fenny Stratford or Bletchley.
