LENNON KEEN TO IMPRESS

Harry Lennon delivers his first interview since arriving at MEMS Priestfield Stadium on loan from Charlton

Harry Lennon is hoping he will get the opportunity to get some games under his belt during his time at Priestfield.

The 19-year-old centre back signed on a youth loan deal until January 3 last week and was an unused substitute in the club’s 2-2 draw with Port Vale on Saturday.

The Addicks youngster, who has also spent time on loan with Cambridge this season, revealed how the move came about.

He said: “I heard about the move last Monday and then the Manager rang me on Wednesday and that’s when we agreed everything before I signed on Thursday.

“When I spoke to him everything sounded good, he likes using young players so that was a bonus for me really.

“I’m still only 19 so I’m learning the trade and hopefully I can play a few games. I like defending, I head the ball well and I've got some pace too.

“The lads have been very welcoming, they are all nice people and I’ve enjoyed it so far.”

Lennon knows a couple of familiar faces as he explained:

“I know Bradley Dack from when he was at Charlton,” he said. “He was there until he was 14 and I know Steve Lovell as he was my coach at U16 level, that helps having a couple of people you can go and talk to.”
