GILLS PREPARING FOR IPSWICH VISIT

Gillingham FC putting final touches to their preparation ahead of Saturday's game against Ipswich Town FC

Gillingham FC face their toughest test of pre-season on Saturday afternoon when Championship side Ipswich Town visit MEMS Priestfield Stadium.

Mick McCarthy brings a team down for the second season running, having won 2-1 in Kent last year when a late David October strike sealed victory.

Town finished ninth in the division last season, just four points shy of a play-off position.

Peter Taylor's men are unbeaten in their first four outings in July, scoring 10 goals in the process and conceding just twice.

The Manager has hinted he will give some players a full 90 minutes for the fixture, with Aaron Morris likely to be in the squad.

However Josh Pritchard hasn't quite recovered in time and will sit out.

The players have been working hard in training over the past three days, with a gallery from Thursday's session available at the top of the page.
