Evie Kenna receives call up for England training camp after impressive season in the under 17's Girls Centre of Excellence
Congratulations to Evie Kenna from our U17s Girls COE squad who has been called up to attend the next FA England Training Camp.Evie is just one of 30 girls who have been selected from Centres of Excellence throughout the country to attend the U17s Training Camp taking place at St George’s Park at the end of the month.
The camp will run for four days and while there Evie will be coached by Brent Hills, The FA’s Head of Women’s Elite Development.
This is a great opportunity for Evie who joined our Centre at the start of this season, having previously been with Fulham COE, Middlesex COE and QPR.
Darren Hare, Technical Director said: “Evie has been a tremendous player for our U17s this season, she is a true pro and is always striving to improve and give that extra bit for the team.
“A great deal of credit must also go to the staff at the centre, particularly the respective age group coaches, who have shown real professionalism in their approach to developing young players….let’s hope there is more to come.”
Evie said: “I have played football since I was five years old and to play for England has always been one of my dreams and this is the next step to achieving that dream. I am so excited and really nervous at the same time, but looking forward to the opportunity.”
Evie is supported by a great squad of players at the Centre and they along with everyone at the Centre and the club are very excited for her and wish her the very best of luck on the camp.
