GILLS SUPPORT WEST KENT SCHOOLS FINALS

GFC proud to show its support for the annual Girls Cup Schools Finals

As part of Gillingham FC’s continued commitment to girls' football in the county, the GFC Community Trust have partnered with a number of schools in West Kent to support the annual Girls Cup Finals.

A great number of schools in the area entered Under 13 and Under 15 girls' teams into school leagues before Christmas, which culminated in two finals this week.

Adam, from the club’s trust, was in attendance along with some of the Gillingham Ladies players to show their support and cheer on the girls.

The Under 13s GFC Community Trust Shield was competed for by teams from Knole Academy and Tunbridge Wells Girls Grammar School.

It was a close game which ended 1-1, but it was then decided on penalties, with Knole Academy the winners.

The Under 15s GFC Community Trust Cup again saw a closely contested final, with St Gregorys narrowly beating Mascalls School in normal time.

Some excellent football was played and all the players enjoyed their afternoon at Tonbridge Angels’ Longmead Stadium.
