Gills Player of the Year pens new deal at MEMS Priestfield Stadium
Stuart Nelson has signed a new two-year contract with Gillingham which will keep him at MEMS Priestfield Stadium until the end of the 2015/16 season. The keeper, who was last week voted `Player of the Year` by the supporters, joined the club in July 2012 following the appointment of Martin Allen and was a key member of the side who clinched the League Two Championship in April of last year.
He played every single minute of every game the Gills competed in during the 2013/14 season and made no secret of his desire to stay, and has this afternoon been rewarded with his consistent efforts with a new deal.
