ALLHALLOWS ADVANCE IN SHOOTOUT

Allhallows Primary Academy are the latest school to advance in our half time shootout competition

Our last home game against Leyton Orient saw Allhallows Primary Academy, new to the competition, take on Wouldham All Saints CE Primary School in our half-time shootout.

During the first half both schools were invited into the building so we could go over the rules, running procedure and making sure everyone was changed into their school kit. Due to Allhallows being new to the competition they were very nervous and were very eager to begin.

The players had seven seconds to score from the edge of the D and could choose to dribble and shoot or simply fire one at goal. The keepers were allowed to move off their line as soon as the whistle sounded and put the striker under pressure meaning that they both had to react quickly.

Once the half time whistle sounded both schools were lined up in the tunnel and walking onto the pitch like professional players. Both schools had a quick ball skills warm up to try and ease their nerves before the shootout began.

Allhallows stepped up first and slotted their first penalty away, Wouldham then missed their first which helped calm the nervous of Allhallows. There were some great goals and fantastic saves throughout the shootout but Allhallows came out on top to go through.

Congratulations to Allhallows Primary Academy for progressing into the Quarter-finals of the Half Time Shoot Out tournament.

Our next contest will see Cedar Primary School take on Byron Primary School when Gills face Port Vale on 29th November.
