DAVIES JOINS DOVER ON LOAN

Gills centre back Callum Davies has joined Dover on a loan deal until early January.

Callum Davies has joined Conference Premier side Dover Athletic until January 4, 2015.

The 21-year-old centre back is just returning from a foot injury which he sustained during the Gills home defeat to Scunthorpe, and his recovery will be aided with a return to the Whites.

Davies had a spell at Crabble last season and helped the club to gain promotion, Chris Kinnear's side defeating Ebbsfleet United 1-0 in the Conference South play off final in May.

The defender played 10 times and scored once for Dover during his spell before returning to Priestfield in the summer.

So far during the 2014/15 season he has featured eight times for the Gills, captaining the team for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy games against Stevenage and Colchester.

Callum has signed in time to play against Gateshead on Saturday, and will be available up to, and including, the club's home match against Grimsby on January 4.
